Hello!

Welcome to The Skin Studio.

I’m Harriette, a passionate skin and aesthetics clinic owner dedicated to helping you feel confident in your own skin. My approach is rooted in natural, subtle enhancements built on trust, honesty, and real results. Whether you’re booking your very first facial or returning for your monthly glow up, I want every visit to feel personal, un-rushed, and tailored to you. As a fully insured, regulated, and CPD accredited business, you can feel safe knowing you’re in experienced hands.

Over the past months, I’ve poured every ounce of myself into creating a studio that feels as intentional as the work I do. It’s been a journey of late nights, endless decisions, and more than a few moments of “is this worth it?”....and the answer was always yes! I wanted a space that felt calming the moment you stepped inside, somewhere intimate, warm, and thoughtfully designed so you can fully switch off and feel cared for. Building this studio has been one of the most emotional and rewarding chapters of my career, and I’m incredibly proud to finally open the doors and welcome you into a place I’ve truly poured my heart into.

My Story

I’ve always been drawn to beauty - not the dramatic kind, but the quiet confidence that comes from feeling comfortable in your own skin. My career didn’t start in this industry, though. I originally worked in the shipping world, building experience in office based roles. I enjoyed parts of it, but deep down I knew it wasn’t where I was meant to stay.

Eventually, I left that job to travel through Southeast Asia for nine months - an experience that changed everything for me.

When I returned to the UK, I took a role with NHS 111 during the height of Covid. It was an incredibly challenging time, and it made me realise how short life is and how important it is to do something that genuinely fulfils you. That’s when I decided to enrol in my Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy qualifications. At the same time, I was dealing with adult acne, which made me even more passionate about understanding skin, triggers, and how to truly help people.

What’s funny is that the moment I found my real path didn’t happen during those courses. One day, my tutor casually said, “I think you’d be really good at injectables.” I laughed it off - I couldn’t imagine myself doing something like that. But when I finished my qualification, something still felt incomplete. I wanted more. I wanted a career that lit me up. So I trained in Botox and dermal fillers… and everything clicked. My tutors told me I was a natural, and for the first time, I felt that spark of this is it. Helping people feel more confident, more themselves - that was what I wanted to do.

After qualifying, I entered the world of the shipping industry because I needed a full time job and stable income while I built my new business. Since then, I’ve continued to invest in my education, completing further training in skin boosters, microneedling, and other advanced treatments. I still work part time in the shipping industry, but I’ve reduced my hours so I can dedicate two full days a week to The Skin Studio. It’s been a slow, steady, and incredibly rewarding build - learning as I go, navigating self employment with no rulebook, and working more hours than I ever did in a traditional job. But I wouldn’t change a thing.

My values guide everything I do: honesty, subtle enhancements, natural results, and never changing the essence of someone’s face. I believe in enhancing what you already have, not masking it. I believe in calmness, clarity, and creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for.

One of my favourite parts of this job is the relationships I build. I see my clients regularly, and we talk about everything - life updates, worries, celebrations. I’m often the first person they tell when they’re pregnant or when they’ve met someone new. They confide in me, ask for advice, and trust that what they share stays between us. That trust means everything to me.

Choosing to open my own studio wasn’t just a business decision - it was a personal one. I wanted the freedom to work my own hours, take holidays when I needed them, and create a space that reflects who I am and what I stand for. It’s hard work, yes, but it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

When people see my brand, I want them to see honesty, calmness, beauty, and safety. I want them to feel grounded the moment they walk in. I want every experience to feel personal, thoughtful, and completely centred around them.

This is my story - and it’s only just beginning.
